SUMMARY:Arts Education – Sharing methods and practice. D.I.T. – Global Grand Central
DESCRIPTION:The D.I.T.  is Subtopias Youth program. We build Do It Together based on three words: untamed\, courageus and empathetic. Untamed – thoughts and ideas should be free. Courageus – stand up for yourself. Empathetic – we all belong. \nD.I.T. brings together people and their different experiences\, knowledge and cultural expressions. By meeting across borders: age limits\, artistic boundaries\, geographical boundaries\, etc new expressions are born. \nBased on 28 years of experience using art as tool to engage and empower youth\, we wanted to share a living summary of all that work.  \nThe workshop is part of TEH Arts Education Platform\, one part of the FOI-project where knowledge and methods in working with arts edcuation is shared between members in the network through study visits\, workshops and seminars. As you’re attending this workshop you will also get a short summary from the platforms seminar in Belfast in March 2019 by David Boyd from Beat Carnival.   \nIn this workshop you will get a presentation D.I.T. and of the sharing plattform – Global Grand Central. You will also get first hand experience of some of the tools  D.I.T. use to engage with youth. \n  \n  \nGlobal Grand Central \nGlobal Grand Central is a bottom-up web platform for open learning processes amongst and between social\, cultural and artistic activists worldwide. The aim is to support knowledge exchange for inclusion\, human rights and a vibrant civil society. The platform archives and makes available activity reports to build user portfolios\, it was built in 2015-2017 in a European cooperation project\, and is now governed by an independent non-profit. It is a constant work in progress that invites participation\, co-creation\, and co-ownership. \n  \nWorkshop facilitators: \nEmilie Storm (Röda Sten Konsthall – Göteborg\, Sweden) \nCesar Fulgencio \n  \n  \nThis workshop is a part of the project Factories of Imagination\, which is co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. \n
