Participate! Best Practice: Movement of the Chairs

The performance project Bewegung der Stühle (Movement of Chairs) was conceived as an intervention in public space by the group farbwerk e.V. and has been performed in Dresden several times, amongst other in the neighbourhood of Prohlis. In the movement of chairs, people of different abilities, age and social backgrounds act together. Passers-by can also become part of street theatre spontaneously. With the chairs, small fluid stages and scenarios are created and encounters are enabled. A special presence arises for groups of people who otherwise stay invisible in public space.

At the TEH conference, Movement of Chairs is a performative Who is there, in which the institutions present are being introduced. All participants are invited to take part in the activity.
