Conflict Resolution, artistic technologies, and the creation of participatory events

17th May 2019 | 14:30 - 18:00

In this workshop, participants will work with conflict specialist and performing arts innovator Dana Caspersen in a guided, hands-on process of creating sketches for new physical models of participatory events. Through a framework that contains ideas and practices from the fields of both conflict studies and choreography, participants will consider the impact of decisions being made in choreographic categories on both individual and systemic levels. The workshop may be of interest to anyone who creates or partakes in participatory events ranging from meetings to protests to policy-building to family dinners. No movement experience or skill necessary. We will focus on choreographic practice as one of organizing ideas physically.

Workshop facilitator: Dana Caspersen
